Teirae, DS1 always went mental if i drank apple juice before feeding him, so i cut it out. They also say chocolate is a no no, and i did have a bucket of m&m's once because i was so stressed out, and he definitely did not like that (bugger), but it could be a million things. Especially at your bubs young age. Up to a month old (my experience) their guts need to get used to the milk and not being in your tummy, particularly the first two weeks. Once they are doing regular poos, its much better. I fed lying down alot in the first few weeks this time, esp at night and found that it helped with my tiredness, and helped to establish breast feeding too, as i would fall asleep and DS2 would suck for hours (more comfort sucking really) but it definitely hepled all around.

As for pumping LL, i find that its best to pump at the time you are substituting the feed for, but thats just me, and you could really do it whenever you want, particularly if supply is not an issue. If supply is an issue, i would try not to do it just before a feed. Also, if DS is not particularly hungry, i will pump after that feed, so my body still continues to increase supply at this age.

When DS had broncialitis, i was pumping all the time to keep supplyup, as he wasnt eating much, so i have a good store in the freezer!!

Good luck!
