Unfortunately, DS only likes to concentrate on things he is not meant to... so necklaces didn't work for us. Good luck though
I also agree with getting a necklace from Diva, or even making your own You could find what beads etc olli liked first and then make the necklace, knowing that he would concentrate on it

    Good luck

NelleBelle - I like the sound of being able to customise your own necklace with bub's name and choosing what beads you like! I like that idea as it would serve as kind of a keepsake as well of my breastfeeding days!

mbear - I thought about just wearing a necklace that I already have but thought a breastfeeding one might be designed especially for the purpose! Don't know, I should probably have a look around though. Thanks.

Nicky - I have also thought about making my own, maybe something that I could slip off easily cause I'm really not much of a jewelery person!

Why a specifically designed BF necklace? As I understand it, BF/Nursing necklaces are designed for the purpose - the string is strength tested (so as not to break and risk bub swollowing a bead or getting one up their nose!), the beads are definitely non-toxic, the clasp will pull apart if needed (rather than injure mum!), etc.

I'll see if I can find that US website for you. Some of the designs were just gorgeous, and I agree that they'd make a perfect keepsake.

I just remembered to look this up. If you google "mommy necklaces" you will find the site I was talking about (not sure if we're allowed to post links, so am erring on the safe side! ). They have "baby inspired" necklaces which are more novelty type beads etc to captivate the bub, and "mommy inspired" which are more like fashionable necklaces which are also baby-safe.

    Anyway, hope that helps!
