Breastfeeding Singlets for big booobies ???

Hiya,
Has anyone had any luck finding good breastfeeding singlets for big boobies?
I have had what I thought was an extensive search online but I am really struggling to find anything.
With DS I just wore two singlets from JayJays and pulled one up and one down, but i have put on weight since then and don't think i would squeeze into their apparel.
I guess what I am looking for is simply a drop singlet WITHOUT a shelf bra in it - because they are blardy awful.
IF worse come to worse it'll just be pulling up the tee-shirt and exposing the belly, but i was sorta hoping not to.

I could never find a drop down singlet big enough for my boobies, but I found some different ones in k-mart that work. I really don't know how to describe it well, bit the top half stops just under your boobs, and the bottom half comes up over your boobs and is elastic on top. So you just lift the top, drop the bottom a bit and it's really easy access and discreet too. Man that is a really bad description, but I dont know how else to put it. I'll see if I can find a pic when I'm on the computer...

I found some at Target that although did have the shelf in them it was big and generous and not really supportive so maybe you could Dr it up and cut that elastic bit out??? They only had slits in the inside shelf bit for your boobs not an actual cup so you had to wear a bra with them anyway.
I think I found them in the maternity section and they went up to size 26 so lots of wiggle room and very comfy. It was 2 summers ago that I got them though so hopefully they still stock them.

I was SUPER paranoid about showing any kind of skin when BF, but have big boobs as well. I searched high and low for the right singlet and couldn't find one. I bought 5 singlets from best and less, whilst wearing them cut a hole for each boob the right size to feed/clip/unclip my bra and then sewed around the edges to stop them fraying. Worked a treat and only for the cost of the singlets. My Mom did think I was nuts though!

I used Berlei nursing singlets, they come in bigger sizes. My mum found them at Myer.
They have a magnetic clasp for the nursing part, good because its easy to put on and off... bad because i've caught my skin in between the magnets a few times at 4am! ouchy!

Oh, they do have a shelf but your nips are still covered because it looks like a normal singlet underneath with holes cut out IYKWIM?! I really TRULY rate them!!!

MM - I know exactly what you mean the Kmart ones are the only ones I found that would work for me too, super comfy and easy & discreet to feed with. I now wear them braless at night as a pyjama top, makes for a less draughty feeding option during the night.

DD-E is 'nothing to worry to much about' imo, sorry - there are plenty of singlets I could have found out there is that was the size that was worrying me!
Try J-K and then we're talking - Ahh if only I could have my DDs back, that would be delightful!

Not yet.
Kmart have actually discontinued their maternity bub2b range so that was disappointing!
I am just going to wait it out and see how much weight drops off in the first couple of weeks when I am at liberty of lazing around the house in PJs all day in order for easy feeding and then see what I can find... I did find one I liked the look of online but it $65 ... sixty five dollars for one singlet was just a no for me .

Target - in maternity they have shelf ones with weird peephole bits, but in the underwear section (with maternity bras and undies) they have ones with a bit lace trim. They still have a shelf bit, but when you drop a side it leaves bare boob. I think they're great, and I'm currently approx 16/18 f-g

Well 4"10 and a pre preg weight of 50kg and DD-E boobs are equivalent, extremely top heavy! I hate coments when ppl can't believe they're tht size, they always say they look bigger as I'm tiny! I can't speak more highly of the glammourmom, I like NO movement and FULL support, they're the only singlet I've found that worked after trying bonds, ripe, target, kmart and lovable. They have a sports mesh in them...

Well 4"10 and a pre preg weight of 50kg and DD-E boobs are equivalent, extremely top heavy! I hate coments when ppl can't believe they're tht size, they always say they look bigger as I'm tiny! I can't speak more highly of the glammourmom, I like NO movement and FULL support, they're the only singlet I've found that worked after trying bonds, ripe, target, kmart and lovable. They have a sports mesh in them...

Having DD boobs myself and having met the lovely DC....her knockers are epic. A singlet that may very well contain our DD-E boobs just won't do anything for hers

Have you thought about making your own Hun? I don't know if you can just buy some drop down clips by themselves, but I have a singlet that I love love love, so I bought some cheap maternity bras and cut the clips off them and modified the singlet

Organic-girl I didn't mean any offense as I totally understand where you are coming from as well, I was a 10E-12DD way back when and am not that tall myself (160 is 5'2" I think), so I know they can be equally as painful and frustrating, I am just way beyond that now and can only dream of my DD's!!!

I am hoping we might drop some size this time around seeing as I have lost weight this pregnancy (a whopping 2kg that the dietician converts to 10-15.. will see soon enough).
I might just have to take the first few weeks as they come and then have a look again...
I am hopeless and can't even put a button back on a pair of pants so making them myself is probs not an option
Ill have a look around though its not a terrible idea!

i don't think breastfeeding singlets really work for people with more than a C cup too well, cos of the whole "shelf bra is not enough support" type thang.

i preferred the very discreet breastfeeding tops like at Nuvo Maternity. So you wear a maternity bra AND the breastfeeding top. The clever way the top undoes, when feeding your bub, leaves your stomach covered up and most of your breast. I fed my child for a few years, and the older she got, the more covered up i wanted to be (when feeding her).

My friend was an E cup when breastfeeding and i remember searching for bf-ing singlets with her, we gave up in the end. I think it's all quite individual, i have another friend who is a J cup and she is very happy in strappy singlets )with a very supportive maternity bra on underneath), whereas i was a DD and much more shy about flashing my tum / love handles etc and the wide maternity bra straps, i couldn't rock that look like others can.

buying breastfeeding clothing online is tricky, you don't often get to see, the "access" part and how it works, until the clothes actually arrive. i tried a few brands, until i found the type that don't expose heaps of skin.

Almost Mum was another brand i found helpful, i think that either an ebay site or a website.

I should point out the target singlets I suggested I wear with a maternity bra - but as there is minimal 'shelf' in the singlet it's pretty comfy.
