DD is usually fed on bm at the breast topped up with formula. She's now 6 months old and earlier this week she was only taking half her formula. I called the mchn line and the nurse thought she had a bit if gastro and advised hydrolite and a lactose free formula.
DD's poo's have always been runny and I thought it was just normal with the original formula but with the lactose free formula it's like smooth peanut butter.
What consistency should poo be? She gets about 80% of her food from formula. It's also more brown now. Before it was more green.
What colour and consistency is/ was your babies poo at this age?
I'm wondering if she's a bit lactose intolerant.

I have been consistently advised that there is no 'normal' for babies poo, and anywhere from runny to paste-like is fine - you just don't want pellets. No-one can tell me what's usual in a BF/FF combination baby either, because most people do one or the other, but as a rule BF babies have runnier poo and FF babies tend more towards the solid poo.
