    colic vs reflux

My DS has silent reflux. Symptoms I noted with him:
    - visibly bringing up "stuff" and gagging on it, grimacing as it goes back down
    - sudden periods of screaming in pain, not a normal sounding cry at all and not just the usual witching hour stuff, very hard to console during this time
    - wanting to feed a lot
    - quite snuffly and congested sounding at times
    - hiccups quite often, at least daily
    - very poor sleeper day and night
    - only sleeps well when held and upright
    - lots of wind, difficult to get wind out of him and so lots of arching back and pulling up legs

What kind of symptoms does your bub have? Have you tried anything like Infacol, infants friend etc?

    colic vs reflux

DS is nearly 6 weeks old so only little! He's been on Losec for two weeks and doesn't scream in pain anymore (well, rarely anyway). I'm expecting him to require medicating for quite a few months based on what I've read about reflux.

If you think bubs has it I would find a good GP that will listen to your concerns and not blow you off. The longer it goes untreated the more the acid burns their little throats

Also consider looking into alternative like chiropractors and/or osteopaths.
