Hey everyone,
Long story short - DS has lots of different allergies/intollerances so i have been cutting many things out of my diet since 8weeks for him.
I have severe Candida overgrowth which has lead to Leaky Gut and Severe Malabsorption and I cannot keep weight on nor put any on. I am 8kg below prepreg weight which makes my BMI 15. So I am very very underweight and this is a genuine health issue. I am seeing a naturopath for this. As I am still bfing that will hinder how easily i can put on weight and so my naturopath suggested to cut back feeds from the numerous (probably around 8-10) I was doing to 4-6. I have done so.....

I still would like to feed DS as long as he deems necessary, however it is seriously taking a toll on my body and I want to cut back and put him half on rice milk. due to naturopath recommendation he still obviously needs BM and she doesn't want to wean him off yet because he would have to have vitamins & supplements to complement rice milk and quite frankly i'm not quite ready to wean him anyway......but.....

{nearly there} I was thinking of just feeding him BM either at night or during the day and give him rice milk the opposite time. Is that possibe and still maintain a good supply or would this quickly end it? We co-sleep at night so it is possible to sleep/feed during the night without much if any more disruption than normal.

And what do you normally do when weaning a baby. Do you slowly give up feeds from day and night evenly or do you ditch one and continue with the other until they give up?

Thanks for any feedback.
