No way! I would hate sleeping in a bra. I take my bra off as soon as I get home everyday.
Both times I've had my girls I've been told by the midwives to sleep in a bra. I've gone along with it but never asked why. I find it uncomfortable and would much prefer not to. Have you been told to do the same thing whilst breastfeeding? Do you know why it's recommended? If you do, how long did you wear one for?

While BFing yes and these days sometimes I forget to take it off, I was so used to it.
I do while breastfeeding. At least until I stop leaking overnight. (5 months and I still leak overnight.)
I was never told to but I did for AGES because of my leaking lol. Even once I stopped wearing breastpads I still slept in one, it was just some extra fabric under my singlets so I wouldnt wake in a cold puddle on the sheets if I happened to randomly leak haha
No, never overnight, like Ginger i detest them! Yes, even while breastfeeding. I would have thought you should be wearing one less while your milk supply stabilises to prevent blocked duts etc, not more. Maybe she means so you have something to catch the leaking in the night? As i always slept on a towel for that purpose.
No, even when leaking. I would sleep on a towel though.
Nope, even when breastfeeding. I either wear a belly band as a bandeau type thing or a singlet with built in support.
I use a night feeding bra in the early days just to hold the breast pads to catch all the leaking. Very comfy.. not like a normal bra.
I wear a night feeding bra too, partly cos of the breast pad thing and partly because I was more comfortable.
Thanks for the feedback. I might see if I can find a singlet or something to wear, it might be a bit more comfortable.
The soft sleep bras from Kmart are great, and only about $6! No wire or padding, just a little bit of support.
I found it comfy to sleep in non underwire bras while bf.
I know a lot of women who sleep in a bra anyway. I was told it was good to let the muscles strengthen while sleeping and to not.
Confusing
I don't wear a bra, but I do always wear either a crop top or a bonds bf top. I leak otherwise, and I just feel weird if they're not contained, which is funny because pre kids I preferred them to be free haha.
I do but it's purely due to leakage. Can't wait to ditch them!
I used to wear a thin night time bra. No wires or pressure, but was great at holding breastpads. Which I needed for like 12 months. Was glad when I didn't need them anymore. So in comparison a bra is nothing.
