Dripping BM

Hi mommies!

I am a new mother. I gave birth to my beautiful daughter two months ago. For the past couple of months that I've been breastfeeding my little one, I found it messy that my BM is dripping all over my top. I have tried many breast pads that are available in the market and discovered that the Antibacterial Breast Pads from Chicco is my savior.

Which brand of breast pads are you using?

I'm using cloth ones - Avent brand

I'm using the Avent ones too but I find that they can stick to the nipple, which is not so nice, especially when my nipples were cracked in the first few days.

I also have some great ones from Sustainable Hemp Products which are soft, don't stick to the nipple and are really absorbent.

I stopped having drips, mess and wet patches at around 8 weeks, but still need the pads for the let-down.

i have tried the Avent breast pads but unfortunately, I got rashes within the area of my nipples. And yes, it's very irritating that the pads stick to my breast.

With the chicco pads, no problems since the start. it is also antibacterial maybe that's why i never had irritations when i use it. it has also adhesive strips and because of the strips, the pads are also firm in place when i wore them.

I use Maz-a-licious cloth ones and Pigeon contoured disposable ones. I found these are the best for me and I leak heaps!

Sounds like a gimmick to me Iammarie. Breastmilk is full of the best antibacterial properties - why on earth would you need antibacterial breast pads? Typical of manufacturers to try and sell us something we don't need Also, I'm not such a fan of disposable breast pads as a general rule. Perhaps you could try some mazalicious ones - they seem to be getting a lot of praise.

You sound very passionate about something as mundane as breast pads. Do you sell them by any chance?

Oh I ddint see they were anti bactirial... I avoid anything wich is anti bactirial due to the chemical in them nasty stuff.

I need more Maz pads cause they keep getting lost

I don't use antibacterial products, it's not worth it and I don't want it against my skin!
