First time expressing and giving a bottle HELP!

I have never done this before so I need lots of help!

I am off to a concert Thursday night with my mum and Brother for his birthday...the original plan was for DH to drive with us with DS2 and sit in the car till we finish incase DS2 needs me ( mum did this saturday night when I saw Lady gaga)
I am thinking I would much prefer DH and Ds2 to be at home and comfy so am thinking of trying DS2 on a bottle of EBM.

Now should I try him a few times before then say once a day till thursday so he can get used to it?
Also if I express that day do I put it in the fridge then get DH to warm it slowly under warm water?
This Q is from mum cause she is paranoid I will ruin my BF relationship by giving him a bottle Will get get messed up and not want to BF anymore?

And what size teat? I have 3 as my flow is quite strong?

Hey Hun,

We give DS expressed millk via bottle approx 6 feeds a week (as I work 2 mornings).

It took us a few go's to get him used to it, we also found it was easier if I wasn't in the room or nearby when trying. If I was there he just wanted boob

I express milk and put it in the fridge, DP warms it in a bowl of warm water so that it's just warm (above room temp).

We also used the closer to nature bottles by tommee tippee, as it has a wide base at the teat that supposed to be similar to a breast. I also have a fast flow.

I was soooo nervous about giving him a bottle, as we'd worked SO hard to establish BF. But it really hasn't made a difference, he still prefers the boob!

Thanks hun...we have the same bottles so thats good So maybe try him tomorrow with DH and not me?

Yep I'd definately get DH to do it, I tried with DS and he just screamed at me.

I'd hand him over to DP and leave the house for a bit (go for a walk, etc)...

a. so he couldn't see/smell or hear me

and

b. because he would carry on a bit at first and cry which would upset me.

I just started back at work last night and up until that point couldnt get DS to take a bottle, tryed every bottle to! But once i wasnt there and someone else gave it to him and gladly took it. The only one he would take was the pidgon brand one which a few girls recommended for breastfed bubs.

Hasnt changed our breastfeeding relationship at all, just had to make sure i expressed once i was home.

Also can I add different expressed milk to one bottle? Like if I dont get much can I add it all together so I have a full bottle?

i express at different times and always add together milk i have collected over 24hrs before i start a new bottle. But i made sure the new lot of expressed milk has cooled down in the fridge before adding it in with the rest.

Once i have enough i freeze in ice cube trays and then put them into snap lock bags with the date i expressed on them.
