Going off formula onto cow's milk.....what's the best??

I'm going to wean DD off her toddler formula that she's been on for a couple of months now onto just normal cow's milk....

As DH is really the only one that uses alot of milk in the house we just buy the cheaper Coles or Woolies brand stuff.....

I dont know if this would be adequate for DD's bottles? She has around 3 x 150ml bottles a day at the moment....

    What do you guys recommend?

This is all I use. DD doesn't drink milk through the day, only on and in things she eats, she only has water. If she has a good diet of fruit and veges, she should be fine with whatever milk you choose.
You could try and do half and half to start off with, as in half formula and half milk.
I used to by the expensive Kids Milk from the dairy section, didn't seem to make any difference.
It is up to you though.

I think till they are much older, the regular full fat milk is recommended.
Its all we use. Skim and light milk dont have the 'good" fats for the littlies.

milk is milk..doesn't matter if it is homebrand or one of the more expensive brands..it still comes from a cow! Just make sure it is full cream milk, until they are older they shouldn't be having skim milk because they need the fats that are in regular milk.

    :yeahthat:

We just buy the cheapest 3ltr full cream milk - it seems to disappear so fast! DD is 16 months and has between 2 and 3 bottles a day of 200ml each. It's most often two bottles though, especially if she's slept well (ie didn't demand a bottle at some crazy hour of the night!) and has eaten enough dairy throughout the day.
