the fact it ment i could use my hand bag still, throw a few nappies, wipes and a change of clothes in it (my hand bag was massive LOL)
That even in SCN/ ICU i could still comfort my baby and know that i was helping them to heal by giving them the best food that ment their body didnt have to "work hard" to digest.
the snuggles.
the fact i could feed in bed in the dead of winter and keep us both warm and comfy.
Knowing that my milk was for my baby not every one elses and it was doing what is was programed to do (even though bf with Dj didnt work out while i did it i felt so proud of myself for giving it my all and then some)
I have a long list.
After feeling I'd failed my baby because I had to have a c/s I felt I was doing something a proper mum does.
I love the close feeling.
I love my fellow has a high immunity to colds and bugs 'cause I feed him.
I love he says "boobie" when he wants a drink from me and "water" and "milk" if he doesn't
I love I managed to breast feed with almost every obstacle possible trying to stop me.
I love that dreamy milk-drunk look he gets.
I love early morning winter feeds snuggled up in bed together.
I love that it's something I don't have to remember to pack when we head out for the day.
I love that I don't have to sterilize wash or measure anything to feed my baby
I love that it's got easier and easier to do
Am I allowed to say the fact that I don't have to get out of bed at night?
The no washing extra bits and pieces?
The fact that when they eat so little on occasion (or all the time if you're my DS) that I know they will still be OK because they're getting some decent nutrition still?
So far, it's the feeling and knowing I'm providing K with the best she needs to grow.
Love the first morning feed (or late night depends if she wakes!)
Love how her sweet little hand wanders up my chest to find my necklace (Tiffany two rings linked) and she twirls her fingers in the rings.
