    Hayfever and breastfeeding

    Hi all

    Dd2 is exclusively breastfed and my hay fever is sooo bad.

    What meds can i take for it?

    Gosh eyes itchy throat itchy argghhhhh

    This is 2nd hand from a pharmacist

    Loratadine (Claratyne) is the safest none-drowsy antihistamine
    Drowsy antihistamines have been used for years and are considered safe. Watch for sedation and irritability. (Polaramine and Phenergan)

    Most studies only really look at newborns, so with older babies and toddlers the transfer is even less of a concern.

    I use telfast and have done since being pregnant/feeding as I was told it was safe. It's never had any impact on dd. I would be useless without it some days! Hay fever season has hit hard and fast this year. Hope you get some relief soon!

    Yep hit me very hard the last few days and today just unbearable arghhh!!!

    Hate spring lol

    I took Claratyne with no problems while BFing DS.
