Question HELP with DDs eating habits!!

my 8 mo DD has been a good eater since about 6 mo, she would eat 3 meals a day plus snacks, she got sick last week and was off her food, she's better now (im almost certain she is anyway) and she wont eat any of things i was giving her before (pureed apple, sweet pot, pumkin, brocolli) now she wont have a bar of it, i know she's hungry, coz if i offer her an arrowroot she's all keen. Is what im feeding her boring now and do i need to step up and make it more interesting? or is she still unwell? (she doesnt have a temp and keeps all food down, is drinking enough bottles ect)
im just worried that im going to starve her coz nothing i offer her she wants
    any help would be awesome
    thanks guys xx

they do go through phases of refusing things, so it could just be that. Does she feed herself? sometimes they just get to a point where they don't want to be spoonfed anymore.
She's getting to the age also where she can probably eat a lot of what you eat - maybe try feeding her from your own plate. She might just want what you're having.

ill have to start eating proper meals then lol.
Thanks for your help may try less spoonfed and more stuff she can deal with herself, i g uess one of the reasons i havent done it sooner is because when i spoonfeed her i know how much she is actually getting. whenever i give her veggies or toast she just mashes it everywhere and i dont knw how much she has actually eaten.

that's a good thing though Stevie - cos she'll keep eating til she is done. sometimes spoon feeding leads to them eating more than they really want/need kwim? DD has only ever had what we were having. we went for steamed veg for a while, then started on normal food. tonight she is sitting down to a plate of spag bol, digging into the bowl with her spoon (and using the other hand to help it on there) - she has been eating proper meals like that since about 7.5-8 months. she eats what she wants and enjoys her dinner.
i would stop offering arrowroots as an alternative though - keep it as a treat rather than a filler when she wont eat other stuff... given she is enjoying the arrowroots i'm guessing she is enjoying feeding herself...

Is she teething? Often the illness can be a symptom of teething, we are going through the same thing here (but with her last molars).
Teething can make her turn off her food, despite appearing otherwise healthy, sore mouth, tongue, bums etc, upset tummy, grumpiness...

Otherwise, step it up! Try her on some new and interesting foods, try her on some meals you are DH are eating yourselves and see if the novelty can coax her into eating.

    Good luck!

My DS was the same as BG's girl, eating what we had from teh start. Don't worry about how much does or doesn't seem to go in, she'll figure it out and take what she needs.
