    High fiving myself

Just a small woohoo for me, I'm approaching week 6 of successful BF with DS2. Go me! I'm amazed at how easy it's been compared to last time. Initially, all the cluster feeding and the delay in my milk coming in (day 6-7) was hard. I was re-hospitalized a week after coming home as I had horrible, unexplained back pain. They decided to call it a 'chest wall injury' and prescribed heavy painkillers. 5 weeks on and that pain is FINALLY gone. It turns out that re-admission was great for my supply, lol. I kept bubby with me and as I wasn't on the maternity floor it was just me, him, boobs and a breastpump. We had one heck of a party.

Despite being exhausted and not wanting to have him on the boob for 36hrs straight (I kid you not), I kept going. Because this is my last baby, and my last chance to BF. And now I'm doing it! Like you see other women doing it..... all naturally and nonchalant like.

Is it just me, or is there something about BF you just can't explain? It makes me feel really really awesome. lol, see, I can't explain. It must be a hormonal thing because when I look down at his chubby little face with a mouthful of gigantic boob... it just makes me smile. I'm so glad not to be missing this experience. I feel like I've missed enough.

Way to go! Awesome effort and yep there is something about it that is so hard to explain. Nourishment for both mum and bub in so many senses of the word. So happy for you!
