He eats DS under the table too and DS is also nearly 2.5 For example, DS will eat a small to medium piece of fruit (like a kiwi fruit) and anywhere from half to one and a half weet bit for breakfast. If he has a larger piece of fruit, (like a banana when they were affordable) then he'll often hardly touch the cereal. Every now and then he has what we call an "eating day" which is when he eats amounts similar to what you have posted (so he'll have fruit, weetbix AND porridge on those days).

Your DS sounds like he has a great diet and is eating exactly the right amount for him.

Your LO eats better than my 4.5yo, you are doing so well, i would be rapt if my child ate like yours. the variety of foods, that's so fantastic. Sounds so healthy.

We have days/weeks like this and then we revert to nothing but air!! I read somewhere about averaging their food intake over a week rather than daily....

I have no idea how much my 13 month old eats - he never has breakfast, gets random leftovers and bits of our lunch at lunchtime, eats crackers/biscuits/fruit/whatever the 3yo is snacking on all afternoon and then for dinner he eats his meal, some of my meal, and everything the toddler leaves (she is eating almost nothing right now), then dessert, then some more leftovers, then a bottle of chocolate milk, then boobies, then goes to sleep and wakes up an hour later complaining he's hungry. Grrrrr.

He's put on a kilo in the last month doing this and is starting to look quite plump.
