DS is 13months and we loosely followed BLS, and this is a typical day...
Wake up breastfeed
Breakfast - 2 vita brits or porridge; slice of toast
Snack - small handful of sultanas and cheerios/dried apple; milk arrowroot
Nap time breastfeed
Lunch - depending on the day - sandwich / baked beans / scrambled eggs / tuna and crackers / salad
Snack - fresh fruit and/or 140ml yoghurt
Breastfeed or 100ml milk
Dinner - whatever we are eating - roast / curry / stir-fry / pasta / meat and veg (portion is generally the size of a side plate)
Bedtime breastfeed
Plus he drinks water all day - generally 250ml without prompting
Is this a lot, or is he just a good eater? I haven't met many other children (same age or older) that eat like he does.
I think your DS eats super well for his age. DD probably eats slightly more during the day but less at dinner and has less milk so overall about the same I would say. Great thread idea!
My DD eats similar to yours UA at 16 months, except we are no longer BF so it's 1/2 cup milk in the morning and about 2/3 cup of milk at bed time.
She drinks heaps of water during the day without prompting too.
Although with that said, some days she will just pick and pick and hardly eat anything, then other days she will hoover anything in sight and look for more. Just when I think I understand her she changes track on me!
He eats Nate under the table and he's nearly 2.5 though he drinks probably a litre of water in the day and 400ml at night.
Darcy ate a very similar amount at that age. She's still a great eater.
He eats DS under the table too and DS is also nearly 2.5 For example, DS will eat a small to medium piece of fruit (like a kiwi fruit) and anywhere from half to one and a half weet bit for breakfast. If he has a larger piece of fruit, (like a banana when they were affordable) then he'll often hardly touch the cereal. Every now and then he has what we call an "eating day" which is when he eats amounts similar to what you have posted (so he'll have fruit, weetbix AND porridge on those days).
Your DS sounds like he has a great diet and is eating exactly the right amount for him.

Your LO eats better than my 4.5yo, you are doing so well, i would be rapt if my child ate like yours. the variety of foods, that's so fantastic. Sounds so healthy.
