First of all I would only do it when you're ready - not because your mum is at you!! It's okay to introduce it at one, and since you have been using it in his food anyway i imagine it woud be quite easy. I havne't done it with daughter as she may be allergic but my friends said they started giving small amounts in sippy cup, sometimes mixed with water or bmilk to tone down the flavour. Not sure how cold it should be! Well done on the bfeeding! I know others here will have some good tips.
I've just started introducing it in the last week. I give her a little bit in a sippy cup and I warm it up first. I figure she's used to warm milk so thought that was best. At the moment she sips, it pools in her mouth, she looks surprised at the taste, opens her mouth and it dribbles all down her bib. So I'll keep trying!
ahhh perfect timing. Im still breastfeeding my Sam (1 yesterday), but thought i might introduce milk in a sippy cup at morning tea. I will be warming it up. Just 15-20 secs in microwave, takes the cold chill out of the milk.
I don't warm anything if she'll have it cold! She had cold roast pumpkin for dinner tonight! What a cruel mum i am. I wouldn't heat it unless he will only drink it warm. Like you say, cold water and all.
Unhomogenised is fine, it just means the cream is in its natural state, not dispersed through the milk.
