    Its over...

So I have stopped Breastfeeding my DD. Not how I planned it at all as wanted to feed my baby till se was at least 1 or until she made the decision herself to wean.
I know I have made the right decision but still feel quite emotional. After almost 7 months of battling on with severe reflux, a stint at Tresillian, 3 bouts of mastitis and multiple blocked ducts, nipple confusion (after a stupid Paed wanted her on some special formula - only lasted a day) and pain association with with the BB's!
She has taken to the bottle well - such a change to get through a feed without her screaming the house down and coming on and off multiple times - and the best part I had forgotten what a "wet nappy" feels like! So I know she is finally taking in enough fluids. Can't wait to get her weighed next week to see if she has actually gained some weight.

Now for myself to get over the latest bout of mastitis and I feel it will be onwards and upwards for us both...

Thanks for listening gals just had to write about the end...

    i'm so sorry sweets,
its not easy, iZ weaned about 2-3 weeks ago on her own and it was very hard for me to come to terms with. but there was nothing i could do, she was completely refusing me.
But she did need to put on weight given her gains havent been very tiny.

if u need to talk u know where i am

You should give yourself a hug pat on the back for all your effort and perseverance, and also for recognising when you reached the 'enough's enough' point. I hope your mastitis heals up quickly, go back to the dr if it hangs around at all, you deserve to feel well & healthy so you can enjoy your little one .

Ery you did such an amazing job and you really put in the hard yards to feed Ella. You have given her the absolute best start to her little life and you should be so so proud honey. I hope the mastitis gets better for you real soon I know you wanted to be BFing but enjoy the time she now has on the bottle, it soounds like it will be much more relaxing for you both after such a rough time x

And skybie I had no idea that Iz had weaned. You have BOTH done so fantastic and I am so proud of the achievements you have both made and you should be too!
