    let her sleep?

    Dd is asleep in the lounge with DH. Has been since her 11pm feed. so its been 5 hours. She is 2 weeks and 3 days old. Health nurse said shes put on heaps of weight and said I could stop waking her for feeds if she is sleeping. I haven't had this much sleep since she was born!
    How long should I let her go? I just had to express a little because my noobs were like rocks...

    She'll wake soon enough; I think ds1 would go around 5hrs overnight sometime this early. I know he settled in to a 5, 4,3 or 5, 3, 4 hr sleep pattern early on (until 5 1/2 mths but that's another story)

    let her sleep?

    Express and go get some sleep!
    My DD slept through from about a week old. Touch wood still does she's now 10 weeks.
    And don't worry if you express and then she wakes an hour later, still put her on breast then give her a top up if she needs it.
    Full tummy will help them get a good sleep.

    let her sleep?

    She woke at 4:30 and DH woke too and told me he fed her again at 1am. That's why she was still asleep! Damn, I thought she was learning to sleep longer!

    Good on your DH. Once we had good weight gain going on here I just followed her lead.
    At least you got some sleep!

    She is doing so well
    My 8 month old hasn't even done 5 hrs haha. If you can get your head around it and embrace the fact you might not sleep for a while then you won't be anxious or resentful about not getting sleep. My DD used to be a shocker and woke every 1.5hrs for months on end. With DS Ive made the decision to just accept whatever sleep I get and not focus on the sleep I'm not getting and it has made it much easier to deal with.

    maybe you need to work out a plan with your dh. i would find it really difficult (in getting my boobs in sync with bub) if she was being fed and i didn't know, or hadn't planned for it.

    I agree with working out the feeding thing with DH. It is good to have a break and good on him for taking initiative, but it could be detrimental in the long run in terms of your supply settling to what your DD needs. So maybe having set times every night for comp feeds if that's what you want to do.

    I also agree with those who have said to just accept the level of sleep you end up getting. Babies don't come out programmed to our chosen lifestyle (as much as that would rock), it takes months and even years for babies to learn everything we know as adults about sleeping, settling etc. Hang in there.

    I hope getting a bit of sleep has helped you. It sounds like she's getting a lot of sleep for a baby her age.
    The only thing I would suggest is that if your DH is sleeping with your daughter get him to set himself up in bed rather than on the lounge.
