Mall breastfeeding protest

Thought some people may be interested in this story, as breastfeeding is being talked about a lot since Miranda Kerr's pic. A shop in a mall in Canada - a children's clothing store - actually banned breastfeed! How can breastfeeding still be seen as taboo, even now?

Thankfully Australian malls are saying they fully support it.

I also love the pic, would love to get a beanie like that!

Thankfully, Australian malls don't have a choice BUT to support breastfeeding - discrimination laws and all that jazz.

Can't women walk around topless in canada?

In 2008, the city council in Vancouver, British Columbia, a location of the World Naked Bike Ride, gave women the right to go topless in public, not solely at swimming pools and beaches

so why on earth can't they breastfeed?

Really? That just makes the whole thing stupider! It does say further down the article that it was due to a new employee who wasn't properly trained, but still! How could the employee find it offensive?

It was a different part of the country but still I always thought Canada was a very "forward" country

But really you only have to read the comments on that site to see why people get offended, they STILL believe its about "showing ya boobs off". "oh my wife bf for 9months and use to use the rest room" well buddy why don't you go have your lunch in a toilet!

People need to realise that boobs are more than "fun bags".
