Just wondering if anyone else is taking part and what they think of it.

Yeah I got selected too. I feel bad because I have to write 2 weeks for BF, LOL... oh well. I am happy to participate, if it helps eventually to encourage healthy choices for infant feeding.

I had to miss a huge chunk of it cause I got selected for my youngest who is only 2 months so no solids or other fluid yet. I thought it was great they asked about skin to skin and time to first breastfeed and all that.

Got it yesterday, haven't opened it yet! Will fill it out, sounds like I will be skipping a lot of it too since Ds is so young.

Yep, i did mine today. It felt like a bit of a test really of how good a mum i was! Have to admit i started getting a bit defensive whilst taking it, I was desperate to write on there 'Yes, my 6 month old has had some formula, but only a handful of times because i didn't have enough expressed at the time, don't label me!'

Oh well, can't wait to see the results though!

Hi Feeb! I think the letter said the randomly selected people who had a person less then 2 on thier medicare card and you only filled it out for that child. Apparantly it's the first time a survey like this has been done in Australia. It's all about how you fed them, why, how did you make your decision etc.

I liked the fact I could do it online, however it's a shame they didn't ask which method was preferred as they could have saved a heap of printing and paper!

I'm glad I could take part and look forward to the results. Did anyone notice the Q about your child drinking any other fluids inc. alcohol in the list? That suprised me

It would have been better if you could fill it out for your other kids too, eg. what they did between 0 & 2, when they stopped BF or FF, etc
I don't think it was detailed enough, however DS is on BF at this stage so I didn't have much to fill out, so maybe it could have had something along the lines of "when do you think you will start solid food?", etc

Got mine today, pretty disappointed as it only took 5 minutes to complete. But it was a good survey I thought.

I think it will be great if they can use the results to tailor research and education into specific areas of need
