Nursing or maternity bras

Does anyone know of a nursing bra that opens any way other than with the drop-down cups? I have small breasts and have found with DS1 that the drop-down cups don't expose enough of my breast at the bottom. DS2 due in the next few weeks!

You could try a stretchy crop top type thing and pull it up instead, maybe?

I have a nursing crop bra with cross over front. It doesn't give much in the way of support, and its got wide straps, but its definitely a different kind of opening! I liked it for nights as it was less 'constraining' iykwim. I'm a B cup if that helps. Got it from Big W or KMart, can't remember which!

Are you talking about the kind of nursing bra that has a permanent strap across the top of the breast and you have to squeeze your breast out the bit in the middle?? I hate that type with my enormous boobs. But the drop down type where it just drops all the way down is awesome and comfortable.

No, the crossover would be like the Kyra Bra you see in Mothers Direct, for smaller breasted women. It crosses over. The A Frame bra doesn't cross over. I hate the look of them, but damn they are the best supporting bras when you get a good one, like the Triumph ones! Worth every cent, whether they are on sale or full price! And I'm 'only' an E cup

I prefer tops with an inbuilt nursing bra, like a nursing camisole. They still drop down over the breast, but because it's a top and not a bra you can generally clear it out of the way entirely. The cheaper versions from KMart and Target are just as effective as the more expensive lingerie branded-ones. You can wear a light blouse over the top in warmer weather (or nothing, most of them are fine as singlet tops) and then warmer tops in winter.
