Is it OK to have a Lymphatic Drainage Massage will breastfeeding?

That's my question - will too many toxins be released into my breast milk? or can I go for it?

I've heard it being done to manage blockages and mastitis. But I'd be wary of massage while bfing for any other reason in case it damages ducts or causes issues. What did the massage therapist suggest?

i haven't talked to a massage therapist yet...and I'm not pursuing it for reasons relating to breastfeeding. I mentioned to my pilates instructor that I still felt like I was carrying extra fluid around my middle and even my hands and feet even though I gave birth almost 4 months ago and she suggested lymphatic massage. She's not a masseuse nor does she have any expertise re: breastfeeding so I thought I'd ask here. It's more of a comfort/vanity thing so I'd only do it if I am assured it is safe - otherwise, I'll give it a miss for now.

I doubt it would be an issue if you aren't having the lymphs immediately around your bbs massaged, I wouldn't think. But check with the therapist on what they recommend as far as toxins go.
