I dont know how but one of my nipples have been bleeding When i went in to check DS this morning he had blood over his PJ's, was wondering WTH had happened, couldnt find anything on him to checked my boob and yep there it was I dont know how it happened but now im worried about him swallowing the blood?

Do i keep offering that boob or just wait until it has healed?

    oh no Minny.
Does it look like a scratch or a bite or something more sinister?
I'm pretty sure you won't harm him though and I would probably keep feeding if it isn't too painful. I got an abscess on my nipple once which involved a fair bit of pus and they told me to keep feeding. It actually healed pretty quick.
Hope it's not too bad hun.

I was told that blood caused no harm to baby and was the best way to heal any issues.

There's no problem with him ingesting a little blood. Just wondering what happened to your nipples? He's over 12 mnths old now? You might just see if you can work out what happened so you can try to prevent it happening again

Thanks ladies, feeding him is bareable, its doesnt really hurt that much as long as i make sure he is attached properly. I can kind of see a crack but my nipples are just wierd like that lol so it might not be. Im pretty sure hes getting his eye teeth so hes attachment is poor so im assuming thats how it happened.

Waiting for the lovely black poo to follow lol

I had this same thing with DD2 a few months ago. I don't know why but the blood was actually in my milk... It wasn't my nipple, it was coming internally and when she threw up there was milky blood everywhere.
I'm sorry I can't help, but I just fed through and it cleared up pretty fast.
