    Query

How does the return of your period effect milk supply? Does the taste or quantity of it change somehow? Mine's restarted, DD is 7.5 weeks old and going through her wonder week and I feel that my supply isn't as high as it was at the beginning of the week. The only thing that has changed it that she is sleeping longer stretches at night and my period started. TIA

Hi AF came back when DD was 6weeks old. They say the taste of it changes and there can be a dip in supply but it is only temporary. I found just feeding more frequently helped build it up or get her through til AF had finished. Yay for her sleeping longer stretches though! My DD still wakes 1-2hrly!

It doesn't affect supply, but it can make bubs very fussy. It tends to get better each month, though.
If you continue to feed your baby then you'll continue to make enough milk Sometimes baby's behaviour or chnage in the feel of our breasts (they stop getting so full between feeds as they become more efficient at making the right amount of milk) make us doubt ourselves. It's a confidence issue, not a supply issue, however.
You're doing fine. The best way to tell if baby is getting enough at this age is to count wet nappies.
