I'm not really sure if this is the right area to post this (mods feel free to move)...as I guess this applies equally to sleeping and feeding.
My DS is 5 months old and has 4 feeds a day (formula) roughly as follows:
6am - Wake & Feed
7.30am - Sleep
8.10am - Wake
10am - Feed
11.30am - Sleep
1.30pm - Wake (this is not always the case...some times he can wake from his 11.30 sleep earlier, or have 2 40 min naps)
2pm - Feed
4pm - Sleep
4.40pm - Wake
6pm - Feed
7pm - Sleep
I am conscious to try and not let him go more than 2 hours without a sleep, but the way things are working its sometimes closer to 3 hours. Just in the last couple of days I've noticed him yawning not long after he has woken, which he never normally did. Does this mean he's not getting enough sleep?
I guess I am just curious how others who feed 4 hourly, 4 feeds a day manage to fit in sleeps, and how long are they for? When do they have their 'big' sleep (if they have one)?
Personally I think that if he is happy, healthy and content then you are doing great! If he was getting cranky between naps then I'd say that maybe he needed more sleep, but by the look of the routine he is getting enough. I hope that helps a little xx
