One other thing to consider with little ones eating fish (and BF mums) is the mercury content. Fish that contain higher levels of mercury include shark (flake), ray, swordfish, barramundi, gemfish, orange roughy, ling and southern bluefin tuna. I think the recommended is no more than 1 serve per fortnight of these fish for kids. Best to stick to seafood that only have low levels of mercury such as shellfish including prawns, lobsters, oyster, salmon (I would also avoid tinned fish as there is a very good chance that the tin lining contains BPA).
