Red face Weaned but I still have milky substance

    Sorry for TMI.

So DD weaned at about 11mths. 2 and a half months later and I still have some sort of milky substance when I squeeze like you would if you were hand expressing.

I havent been doing this regularly as I know it could continue to make my body think it needs to produce milk but I only did one or two squeezes and havent done this for a couple of months.

I did this tonight as I was having a bath with DD and she was interested in my nipple and putting her mouth on it and was shocked that I still had the milky substance. Its kind of thicker like colostrum. I got all excited thinking she might want to relactate as I secretly miss that bond of feeding my baby). She kind of put her mouth to the nipple but didnt have any suckling reflex and only held it to her mouth for a second and then wasnt interested anymore.

So will I always have this milky substance now that I have had a baby?

I'm not sure how long it lasts, but i weaned over a year ago and i still have something similar! It only comes out when i squeeze (have done so in the shower out of curiousity!). I've heard sometimes it can last years....
