The doctor comment reminded me - when DS was 11 months I had to have extensive testing for a thyroid condition. I had to take radioactive isotopes. When I told them I was still feeding, the doctor said - "oh well you fed to 11 months you should wean anyway!!" Needless to say I didn't, but I had to halt feeding for 48 hours
