Aching, burning, leaking boob - I don't breastfeed!?

For the last few days now my left boob has been really aching and burning. Feels like I need to express or something but I haven't breastfeed my DD old for nearly 5mths now. I just squeezed and a whole lot of 'milk' came out?? Is this normal?

I'm not sure if it's 'normal' but it sounds like the start of mastitis. Do you have a fever or feel unwell?
Can you massage out any lumps?
If it gets worse I'd be getting yourself checked out hun.
    HOpe it's fixed soon.

    Hi,

You can get mastitis (infection in the breast) whether you are breastfeeding or not. You might want to get to the dr and get it checked out

    Thanks.

I got a return of mastitis after I had stopped BF for more than 6 months. Best to get it checked out because mastitis untreated can lead to worse things like an abscess.
