Alcohol and Breastfeeding

I'd also like to say thanks for this thread. I wasn't aware of a lot of the info and believed many of the myths. I've been craving a glass of red and beer so it's nice to know I can actually have a drink or two on occasion

Goodness, it's been so long since my last drink but I can still remember it all Twas June 12th last year, I'd just started AF and was feeling incredibly sorry for myself. I went on chat and got a little tipsy

Completely off topic I know, but there we go. Now I know that when I go out at the end of October without Amelia I'm allowed a drink or two at the beginning of my night.

Rumpled elf, that is indeed the risk of drinking with a new baby. And that risk applies equally whether you are formula feeding or breastfeeding, but some-how if always comes out as breastfeeding mums can't drink. As we have learned this is not the case. Great information!

I normally go with the policy of "if you are too drunk to drive, then you are too drunk to be in charge of a baby"
