Hi everyone,
I need your best tips and suggestions. DS is just under 12 months and he is biting me til I bleed. When he bites he is told no firmly, I don't say ouch or give him any reaction, he is put on the floor and not even offered for at least 1/2 hr. I'm trying to recognise when he is going to bite and take him off before as he is tending to bite at the start of a feed. He has dropped a feed as well so I thought that might stop it but nope. He is hungry because I'm having to express and give it in a bottle.
This isn't working so I'm at my wits ends. I really don't want to stop feeding but I just can't take it anymore. He bites, clamps down and doesn't let go. It is getting beyond painful!! I don't want to have to start expressing and bottle feeding but if I don't i'm going to lose my supply. The cheeky monkey doesn't bite the bottle!
So what can I do to stop this biting before I give up and wean him??? I do know it is just a phase but it has been over a week now and both my nipples have bites which have broken the skin and are bleeding .
TIA,
Dan.
