excessive vomit after bb but almost none after ff??

is it normal for bub to chuck every littlke bit of bf up? she usualy has a ff top up arround lunch, dosent bring much up, probably just a little, not even 5ml. but after ever bf she cucks, and i mean chucks! if you caught it all she would get a whole feed out of it, its definatly the bf, she had a bottle befor bed last night, had wind but not a perk, slept all night. when she woke, my bb's were killing, but befor she finnished she burped and it ALL came up. it's more watery then when she brings a little of the formula up i thought she was just over feeding the last few days, but each time its only after bf that she dose it?

any ideas or ways to help? i want to drop the ff and stay just on bb hopefully untill 6 months.

It might just be that it's a bit thicker or something? She brings hte breastmilk up easily but the formula sticks. Some babies vomit heaps but still gain weight and do fine
How much formula is she having, was it due to low supply or something else?

Is the ff a new thing if it is perhaps ur leting down much more than usual. Maybe stop the ff all together and just try bf. Keep an eye on weight and as long as shes gaining its a good sign. Hope that helps

the health nurse wasnt impressed with her weight-gain, one week she put on 350, the next 100, and was constantly on a yo-yo. last weight she had only put on 30gm in a week, but cant be 100% on that as at first the scales said 4150 then she was put back on and they said 4000.
wish i didnt give in and buy it, but im over her guilt trips.
she has had one 120ml bottle a day since monday, except yesterday she had 80ml at lunch and 120 befor bed.

Oh what rot! Silly nurse. Anything over 100g/week ON AVERAGE is fine! Were you still getting lots of wet & dirty nappies, that's really the best way to see if they're getting enough. INconsistent gains are totally normal too, that's why they should be averaged out over 4-5 weeks.
Cut back thte bottles if that's what you want. 1 max, and less - maybe 90ml. And always bf first. Or, just stop altogether, she'll probably fuss a bit at first, as your supply will have been affected a bit with less feeding, but it'll kick back in quickly.

And then see about finding a differetn nurse, or don't go back

D'oh! And too bad its' 2 buses away - that's really hard.
Your diet won't affect your milk all that much. I think she's messed with your confidence

Could it be something you're eating that's playing up with her? Everytime I had garlic or onion, DD would vomit and be really unsettled. Cut it out of my diet and she was okay.

I agree with PakRacMG that it could be something you're eating. my dd2 is a reflux bub and I've had to cut out a lot of things from my diet(garlic onions broccoli caffeine chocolate to name a few etc) and it has made a huge difference. she still chucks but not as much however having said that I should also mention that she has been on Losec for the last week which is also helping!

also BB milk is a lot thinner than formula so comes back up much more easily. are you able to express and use a thickener in the expressed milk? I did this as well as modifying my diet and it also seems to have helped
