Just wondering how many feeds should a (almost) 8 1/2 month old should ba
e having in a day?
Ds2 seems to be trying to drop a feed.. Today he's had 2 big ones and one now....
nd one at 130this morning...
He's on finger foods aswell...
As many as they want I guess. Generally at that age they'd still be getting most of their nutrition from milk, but the actual amount will vary of course and you never really know exactly how much they're getting each feed either.
every baby is different, my sisters boy fed 4 times a day from about a week while my DS was feeding every 2 - 3 hrs 24/7 so about 8 - 12 feeds a day and they were both 'demand' fed.
Is he having any other liquids? if you are worried he isn't drinking enough BM you could cut this down.
I agree with the girls hun he will feed if he's hungry.
Z has roughly b/w 4 & 6 feeds 3 main feeds during the day a feed to sleep at night and then sometimes once or twice overnight but not always.
she has 3 meals and sometimes a snack of fruit or biscuit etc.
Z woke at 3:30 and then again at 5:30 for her morning feed and is now having 'breakfast' he next feed shouldn't be til after 10ish i hope.... they all do their own thing.
I demand feed which ends yp being anywhere between 4-8 feeds. Atm she's feeding and BITING all through the night because of teething. They will feed more often if they feel out of it, weather it be teething etc, for comfort
IMO I think a sippy cup is a good habit so they know it's there if they want. Sounds like your LO is doing a fine job of 'demanding' if he has you up at 12 am I remember those days
