DD2 (10 weeks) and I have had breastfeeding issue from the start. She had a tongue tie which wasn't diagnosed until she was 7 weeks old and we finally got snipped last week. I haven't noticed any difference in feeding since getting it done though. LC also says she has a bubble or high arched palate and that is also causing us problems. DD clicks whilst she feeds, it's painful or if it's not painful it's like this tickling sensation which is worse than the pain. I am not enjoying feeding her at all, and because we spend so much time, latching and re-latching she isn't really enjoying it either. LC was working on an asymmetrical latch with me with her but either I can't do it because I don't notice any difference or it just doesn't make any difference. Plus bub is resistant to being attached that way and fights me constantly. I am so sick of the fight and the pain and the frustration. I just want it to be easy. Plus I now have this random sharp pain in my left boob which seems to have nothing to do with feeding and is causing me agony. My other children are suffering because I have no time to spend with them after fighting with dd2 all day. I had similar problems with my older dd who had a posterior tongue tie, lip tie and high arched palate and everyone kept telling me to keep going, it would get better and so I did and it never did get better. We had issues the whole 14 months I fed her and I wished her entire babyhood away because of it. But I feel like I have to breastfeed so I just keep battling. I don't really know if there is anything more I can be doing. I guess I just needed to vent.
