My 8 month old keeps waking between 1.30 − 2am every night for BF. She has a very big feed too ( 30-50 mins) , and although we have tried resettling without the feed, she will always howl until she gets boob or if we get her back to sleep she will re wake within 10 −20 mins and will keep doing so till she gets her BF.
I have tried cutting the feed short, but she cries and wont settle back to sleep untill she has had the full amount she wants.

She also wakes at about 10.30 pm - midnight, and will wake again for a feed at 4am.

She can be resettled with the late night wake without a feed but the 2am she is very insistant about.

I am so tired. Surely she dosent need to still have that all milk during the night?

DH suggested we substitute tonight with water from a bottle? I'm not sure if she will accept that or not.

What is the problem here and how do we change it?
