    How long after BF'ing

Hi ladies, my little boy (2.5) has fully weaned a week ago and im just wondering how long it take for your breasts to return to there pre- breastfeeding size? Should i be back to my normal size within a few months, or do they never really return to what was once a 'normal' size?

    TIA

Your boobs are never the same......

Actually, this time round (I think because I fed for longer**) my boobs are in much better shape than pre-pregnancy. DS2 has been weaned for 18 months. I can't remember how long it took but they slowly "dwindled" away to a comfortable C cup. I thnk because he as weaning himself slowly I was downgrading (as it were) slowly anyway so didn't notice too much of a difference except for the fullness feeling.

    **a theory I'm working on!

I think most women can say goodbye to their old boobs after breastfeeding (and pregnancy). I don't think they're ever the same again but some women are happy with the change, others not so much . I was a very perky and firm (12) C-D cup before kids. Two babies later and they're saggy B cups now. I actually just had to buy B cup maternity bras over the weekend, the first B cup since I was a teenager.

After DD1 weaned, I was still a C cup but one breast was a bit smaller than the other. I found I needed a slightly padded cup in my bras to compensate for that. I think I'll need push up bras when DD2 weans!

Thanks Cass... i was kinda hoping they would shrink a little...even a cup or two would be awesome im currently a 18E, so to go down a few sizes would be great!!

Think i'll just have to wait and see what happens...its not like i can do boobie exercises to get them into shape ,lol

I'd have thought they'd never go back to how they were pre-pregnancy, like the others have said.

Taurean you have scared me! I was a 10E, up to 12G while BF... think I'll be tucking my boobs into my pants after this

*Just to put a spanner in the works*
After my first 3 babies my boobs have returned to their pre-baby size (12-14C) however they do sag more. Will have to wait and see how they go after baby4 is finished.

My sister's are like razor strops - she has to roll em up and stuff em in a bra! I guess I inherited my boobs from the luckier side of the family.....

Between DD and DS they were back at about the same size as pre-pregnancy maybe not quite same shape and definitely more saggy but size wise I was back to same size 12 E ish (or 34 DD if used to UK sizing like me) - I think they will go back again size wise after DS finishes feeding.

Oh and after DD I would have had myself at a completely different size more like a 16B but then when and got properly fitted and she said no you are a 12 E (which was pre-pregnancy more or less) - I was quite surprised but also pleased - partly for me was getting used to again a bra that fitted more tightly and supportively than the maternity bras I had been used to, so I was always thinking no too tight when I tried on old bra's but was really just down to what had got used to - so I would wait a couple of months and then make sure you go get fitted and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Apart from the pregnancy weight gain, I'm actually still wearing the same size bra I was 10 years ago Yes I am fitted. They just look different. I fed DS for 27months and they never changed after that, nor with DD's 17months.

Oh how jealous I am of the same sized boobs! I'm so sad that mine have shrunk - and headed south! I never really understood the need for boob jobs until now. I'm seriously contemplating a lift (not implants) after our last baby.

My breasts were at their pre-pregnancy shape and size about 2 months before DS stopped BFing. They have remained that way ever since.
