Can anyone recommend a lactation consultant on the Central Coast or Sydney? I have only been able to locate one consultant on the Coast and when I rang I was told her books were closed.

I saw Pinky McKay too and she was fabulous. The hospital LCs I saw were good and helped a little but Pinky was the first person to stop putting more work on me (like expressing every 3 hours including overnight) and actually asked about my health! She gave the simpliest tips which were perfect in the state I was in... and they worked!

I can HIGHLY recommend Jill Bruce in SA. She came to my house on the day I rang (in tears) and spent 90 minutes with us during a feed. She gave clear practical advice and showed my what I was doing wrong and why what she was saying was going to work.

The result was my poor bleeding stumps of nipples are now healing and instead of breaking into a sweat at the thought of feeding I am actually beginning to relax and maybe even enjoy it!

I can HIGHLY recommend Kate Hale, she will come to your home and services North Shore of Sydney and inner west. Kate has been an absolute gem, I took up her new mum package 5 sessions for $880. She not only provides invaluable lactation advice but also advice on routines, massage and all things baby. The thing about Kate is she had supply issues so is very empathetic to mums in this situation...

Kate also has a new DVD coming out soon, she was highly reccomended to me from my obstitrition (Gil Burton).
