my DD at 15 months still breastfeeds more than eating. Yesterday I think she ate an orange and a banana and one piece of pasta all day
I too wanted to cut back on breastfeeds in favour of food (we want to ttc) but then I realised, she probably knows what she needs better than I do, so we're just running with it.
Its tiring isn't it? But at least I can still eat huge portions and heaps of chocolate without it showing

it sounds really tough. Has this been going on for a month or so or just in the last week?
I know when DS would want to feed a lot before he get's sick that it can take upto a week for any sickness to come about which meant that I would be frustrated cause I couldn't see why he was feeding so much until he got sick (hope that made sense)
I agree with Marcellus DS is always more distracted when we are out and about and tends not to feed so much... is it an option for you to get out of the house for a few hours?
Does she drink milk? if you are comfortable with that could you offer her milk or yoghurt?
Are you wanting to cut feed backs? or just the screaming?
If it makes you feel better, remembering that Miss I cut herself down to 4 feeds a day, then I went back to work and now we only have two, well on the weekend she was all over me crying and pulling at my top, then she'd lie herself down on my lap in our primary BF position and keep pulling on my top until I gave in.
Maybe it is something to do with the age they are? She also ate hardly anything over the weekend and I was getting concerned until I rememebered she had twice the BF she normally does.
I know if I don't feed her first thing (like as soon as she wakes up) she is a terror - if you feed Miss M, does she calm down for a little bit after that? Is she interested in food 30 or 60 mins after BF? Or does she just want more BF?
Big hugs for DH wanting you to wean... I know what you're going thru, DH keeps saying the same thing to me too
