She bit me :(
Ok, I know that this has happened to all breast feeders but DD bit me really hard this morning.
I've read these posts before, so taking the advice of what others have done, was very firm with her and said NO!! She started crying
It felt horrible to do that but my nipple was really sore!
She's done it a few times now, but not that hard before.
Just wanted to vent really

Thanks Marcellus, it was bloody sore! Her new wee bottom teeth are razor sharp! I just knew she was going to do it too, she got this wee glint in her eye. Rascal!

Ouch! My DS was a brat for that at around 8 months. I seriously considered weaning him because he did it every single time. But then he stopped. In the end it was only about 2 or 3 weeks of it, it just seemed a lot longer while it was happening.

Yeah, DS did it for a month or so. I found there were two kinds of bitres. The playful, end of feed nips, that I could usually see coming and learned to get him off before he got the chance, and the big, unpredictable chomps.

Ouch, Isaac did it a lot around that age too. Now he does it occasionally but only when teething.

DS started around that age too, I'll never forget that pain!! When DS bit I used to take him straight off and give him something to chew on (teething ring etc) and it didn't take long, make a couple of weeks and he stopped. But its horrible, baby teeth are sharp!!!

Oh no! If it gets to be a bit regular, keep an eye on when she's getting to the end of a feed and don't let her linger. Another thing is to watch her attachment a bit more closely during a feed. If she's latched properly (think how you did it when she was new) she won't be able to bite.
Hope she learns quickly! I made my DD cry when she was 3 mths and bit me (toothless, but still hurt!) because I gave such a loud yelp. I think the trauma from my shout probably put her off ever trying again. Her little face crumpled.

Ouch! My DS2 was a biter, he was so quick I could never beat him to it. He bit really hard too I swear he was going to chomp my nipple off, he would make me bleed! Just over two months of that and my nipples had enough, 12 months old and he weaned. I used to just take him off and put him down wait 5-10 mins and then go again.
