You've got some great advice. Breastfeeding shouldn't be really painful. Many mothers worry about their milk supply, but it sounds to me that, despite the painful attachment (which isn't normal) your baby is getting plenty of milk. the real key to working out how how much milk your baby is getting is the number of *dirty* nappies, so if your baby is having several pooey nappies then you are getting plenty of milk. Remember, when a nappy is dirty, there is probably a wee in there as well. How many times is your baby feeding in 24hrs?
