It def sounds like a blocked duct to me. Mine always feel bruised when I've had it.
My CHN also said to use something like a vibrator or electric tooth brush against it.. apparently the vibrations help to clear it... and don't massage too hard because you'll make it more swollen!
GL! They're ouchies!
lol Ree*Ree that's definately something I'd do. I hate feeling like an inconvienince. I only went because all you lovely ladies told me to.
Thaks Teagz, I'll try that too. As for massaging, I think maybe I did and it's made it worse.
Thanks Kate.
Doc said it's definately mastitis. Gave me some a/b's and I'm to go back if it's not improved by Wed or Thurs.
Thank you so much fo all your wonderful advice.for everyone. Your the best

don't worry i did the same thing too and it ended up turning into mastitis. Ick!
Hope the A/B's kick in soon... and I hope your bubba isn't bothered by them xx
hope the ABs kick in quickly and you're all better very soon! Good on ya for getting onto it quickly![]()
Glad to hear you're on top of it honI wouldn't worry too much about the AB's, DS didn't have any probs when I had them. Hope it clears up soon for you x
I'm really glad you have the abs now hun. And yes, you can take them while bfing. I hope you feel better really soon hunIf you don't feel better by tomorrow afternoon, you should call the doctor back and get a script for a different antibiotic.
Thanks everyone.I think I might be starting to feel bit better already, although I'm very good at telling myself I have symptoms so I guess it would work the other way.
It just occured to me before, that DF is mildy allegic to an antibiotic (something starting with C?), is it possible that the ab could go through my milk and cause a reaction? or does it not work like that... (now that I've typed that it sounds a bit stupid but I'm asking anyway.)
