I would recommend contacting Dr Rodney Whyte at Monash as well for the most accurate info. Unfortunately, most GPs and obs take a 'cover your backside' approach when it comes to advising on medications, rather than provide specific advice on individual medications and supplements. I have known of bfing mothers told definitely not to take a certain medication by a specialist and then been reassured that it's okay by another more up-to-date health professional (or Dr Whyte).
