We had a 1 yr old and 2.5 yr old and we used removalists. Best thing we ever did. I had someone take our 1 yr old out for a few hours between feeds, and DD went to my parents. They need to be out from underfoot.
As far as nappies go I just kept using them. Laundry was easily set up once the washing machine was in, and my dry pail bucket that had 2-3 nappies in it just went in a car instead of the truck.
