    Question Credit history report?

    Hey ya's

I have to get our credit history reports done to attach to our rental applications in tassie - its been a while since I've rented, and never had to do this before. The chick at the real estate gave me an address, but I can't find what is supposed to be like a search or whatever to give me the damn report, just jumps from advertising screen to advertising screen.

What does everyone else use when they have to do it? And free ones would be best

    Pffft me either.

You think since we've been in our own home for 3.5 years that we are actually managing to make the payments on the mortgage since the bank hasn't foreclosed on us or anything

    *sigh*

Why does everything have to be so difficult.

ETA - I contacted the receptionist again - she gave me the CORRECT link this time - and I checked it out - $30!!!! EACH REPORT!!! so that's $60 we have to spend - FOR PUTTING IN AN APPLICATION!!!!!!!

    F**k that man. Thats ridiculous.

Why won't your mortgage history suffice???? Surely regular repayments at the same rate (but probably higher ) would be enough to show you have a regular repayment history

You would think it would. But seriously - this is for RENTING. I'm not applying for a frigging loan here...

Why make it so hard for people wanting to rent? Surely this will just drive people out onto the streets. I know I have a good bloody credit history and thats WHY we got given enough money to BUY A DAMN HOUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!

    grrrrr. Stupid real estates.

Yeah it does suck arse but the laws change from state to state in regards to rentals and applications!! My mum is a property manager and she said Tassie is the hardest to rent in cause of the extra documents that you do have to supply just to put in a application.
