    I have no idea if it is tax deductible - but I wouldn't put one in because you will have to maintain/fix/replace if it breaks and there is no guarantee the tennants will look after it IYKWIM

    A dishwasher is one of those things though that can make or break someone wanting to rent the place. I know I was more interested in renting a place with one and when we got a place without one the first thing we did was contact the owner to offer to pay half for the installation of one.

    I get what you mean CF. Only thing is there is a space for it which we currently used for the bar fridge but without something there it looks weird.

    I guess I'll think about it a bit more.
