He sent me a text asking for money. What a laugh. I contacted Consumer Affairs yesterday and surprisingly even without a contract, the RTA requires 60 days notice if *he* wanted to move back into his flat and 120 days notice for him to put new people in. So he majorly breached my rights...14 days, ha! So CA has advised action I can take through VCAT. He can be fined, and if I had spent any money on this move, I could apply for compensation too. Too bad about all the things I got rid of to fit in one room (books, clothes etc) had to majorly downsize, and the fridge, couches and appliances I got rid of before we moved in to his place, on the proviso that we'd be there at least 12 months. Oh well. I'd be happy with a fine. You can't just screw me over and think I'll take it lying down.

^^^ Yeah that.
I'm assuming he's not your friend anymore either. It's a hard lesson learnt but if you want to stay friends with someone, it's best not to enter financial arrangements with them no matter how much you trust them. Money changes everything.I agree with Delphmoon, there's an opportunity coming your way.
