thread: Marks on walls in a rental - I don't rent so have no idea and need help

    Is it a scratch or a mark? Just asking cos gumption is great at taking all kinds of stuff off the wall.

    I wouldn't worry too much, they do allow for wear and tear on the property and you can't expect everything to be perfect in a rental once people have lived there

    Pfft! They're being fusspots! I'd say cover it how they are happy living with it and if they lose some bond at the end you'll cover it. It wont damage their reputation as renters at all!

    My cousin saw it this morning in her way to work which is when I saw it..

    Mel - DH looked at and said that it looks like paint etc from the car, not an actual scratch in the wall.. So will suggest gumption to my cousin tonight. Does it remove colour from the wall?

    I get what you are all saying about wear and tear, and I feel the same (maybe this is classed as a little bit more), but I am more scared of my cousin (we normally get on well, but some things she nags and nags about, and this is one of them) than any real estate or money to fix it..
