YES!!! Kids kind of triple the work. I had no choice but to have them around, but it does make it easier if you have someone who can look after them.

Hmm, thanks everyone. I think maybe because I have a few other things on my mind that is why my moving mojo has gone. (All mojo really. I really a**ed up something so that is playing on my mind a lot).

I had thought that with the kids in care and the ability to not have to be at work would have meant things would get done without them 'helping', but it's just not happening. I can't leave them with anyone else.

Looks like it will be the tried and tested 'leave it to the last minute' move.

ETA; we SO need a skip! The Man says he's going to get one for the shed/garage. In addition to house stuff, we have to move (but not all to the new house, its going in all different directions): four cars, one caravan, two trailers, and three motorbikes. And last but not least, rehome two dogs that no one seems to want.

Essentials in a box that you take in the car with you. Something to keep the kids occupied as well while you're moving things into the house (like a bucket of chalk if there is an outside area in the back with a concrete floor), or maybe get one room set-up with tv/dvd player and let them sit in there while everything is brought in.

Give me a yell if you need a hand, the car is supposed to be going into the smash repairs next week so it will be out of action for at least a week, but if I get it back by the end of the week I can help on Sunday.

Aww thanks Sopdet! The Punkinator is getting it's nose job ai? lol Thanks, I needed reminding on the 'essentials box'. Last time we moved, I remember doing a lot of it in the ex-ambo we had. Gees that could fit a lot of stuff in it!

Yay Me! Have packed ten boxes of stuff tonight! Not so happy thought, I did some of it while having a tv show called "Hoarding: Buried Alive" on. Perhaps not the smartest move. I am beginning to think that maybe I am a compulsive shopper, and maybe a hoarder. I have so many pairs of children's shoes that they are yet to grow into. Am I the only one with boxes (okay, they're not all that big, but there's still multiple boxes) of children's shoes????

Anyway. Happy I got some more packing done. Going 4wd tomorrow, and I plan to stack those ten boxes (plus the other three boxes from Tuesday, two toy crates, and a bag of books) into the float before we go in the morning. Fingers crossed I can do that!
