Ooh I hope you get it!! As to the DHS Bond Assistance, DF and I got this. I assume it's similar in every state. Basically we simply applied with all the paperwork we needed (Centrelink forms, bank statements etc), and they process it and let you know if you're elligable...I think it was within 5 working days. There should be info on their website about how much bond you can receive, there was on the Vic site. Then they'll write the check, you pick it up and give it to the RE. If any bond needs to come out, you'll have to pay it back to the DHS, not the RE. DF found it a huge help, as the lease was terminated on the sharehouse we were in and we only had 27 days to get $2080 together (bond and first months rent) so the bond check really helped with that expense.
